The XLSON II – A SUPERIOR FOLLOWER TO THE CHUCK ISRAELS SIGNATURE MIC

“Peter Axelsson has developed a mic that rejects enough extraneous sound that it is practical to use in live situations and in recordings with little or no isolation baffling. The quality is excellent and I can amplify the bass even louder than I need it.” – Chuck Israels

Colin Corner and I had the chance to listen to this mic in action, and it sounded great. Beautiful replication of the actual acoustic sound of the bass.

I've been hoping to find a way to replicate the sound and feel of a good studio recording on my live gigs. With the Xlson mic I've finally been able to do that. It captures not only the rich beauty of the full acoustic tone, but also the natural attack-decay envelope of the instrument. It sounds so good that 'the gear disappears' and it's just me and my bass (only louder).

The Chuck Israels Signature mic from Xlson Audio has the ability to place my Mirecourt Bass in the foreground while very effectively relegating the other instruments far into the background.
